Dhaka – Dr Joya Sengupta, widow of late Awami League lawmaker Suranjit Sengupta, on Friday collected Awami League’s nomination paper to vie in the by-election to Sunamganj-2 constituency.Her son Soumen Sengupta collected the nomination paper from the AL central office on her behalf, said sources at the AL office.The by-election to the parliamentary seat that fell vacant following the death of veteran AL leader Suranjit Sengupta will be held on March 30.On February 5, Suranjit died at Labaid Hospital in the capital after prolonged illness.UNB agency
