Tarana promises action ‘in one second’ for recruitment irregularities

Dhaka: State Minister for Posts and Communications Tarana Halim on Sunday said anyone found to be engaged in irregularities during the recruitment process in the postal department will be dealt with severely.
The junior minister came up with the warning while addressing a programme to commemorate August 15, or National Mourning Day, as chief guest, held in the city. UNB News Agency Reported.

“Some allegations have been found about the recruitment process of the postal department. I am strict and rigid about the allegations. When joining, I said that I want to make the place free from corruption and I’ll stay firm in my decision,” she said.
“Action will be taken against those involved in any kind of irregularities in one second,” she added.
Yet despite revealing she had knowledge of such allegations, it is not known that any action has been taken.
Expressing dissatisfaction about the slow progress of work, Tarana, urged the employees to remain alert about placing files.
Post Office Director General Probash Chandra Saha also addressed the meeting.
