Police arrested a suspected terrorist in possession of two hand bombs in the district town early Sunday. The arrestee was identified as Shahadat Hossain alias Laito Shahadat, 28, of Shankarpur of the town.
Police said tipped off, a team of police led by Sub-inspector (SI) Shambhu Biswas of Kotwali Police Station arrested Shahadat while he was staying behind Shahnaz Hotel in the area to carry out some terrorist activists at about 2;45am.The police team also recovered two hand bombs from his possession.
