Three Chuadanga cops sued over fake FF certificate

Chuadanga, Aug 5 – Three police constables including a female one, have been sued on charge of joining government job showing fake freedom fighter certificates.Of the accused, Nasima Khatun, daughter of Abdul Kuddus, a resident of Boroboldia village in Damurhuda Upazila is now posted in Jessore district police, Robiul Islam, son of Tofazzal Islam, a resident of Ashananda village in Sadar Upazila is now working at SPBn-2 (Special Security and Protection Battalion) and Jahangir Alam, son of late Bazlur Rahman, a resident of Jolibila village of Sadar, is now in Khulna district police.
Shahiduzzaman, sub-inspector, also reserve officer of Chuadanga district Police, filed the case with Sadar Police Station on Thursday night.
Special Branch Sources of Police said that Nasima was appointed in Chuadanga district police on July 13, 2013 while Robiul and Jahangir in March 16, 2014 in freedom fighter quota.
Tozammel Haque, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said the district police sent their certificates to Ministry of Liberation War Affairs on July 8 over suspicion.
The ministry after checking found all the certificates counterfeit. – UNB
