A fire burnt down valuables worth about Tk 20 lakh in Dasghar Masukhali Market in Biswanath upazila early Friday.
Sources said the fire originated from a tea stall in the market around 12:30am and soon spread to other nearby shops, leaving five shops burnt.On information, a fire fighting unit from Osmaninagar rushed to the spot and doused the blaze with the help of locals. Fire service sources said the loss resulting from the blaze would go up to Tk 20 lakh. -UNB, Sylhet
