Mymensingh – A Two day long training on ‘Hybrid Rice Technology’ was held at Graduate Training institute (GTI) of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) in Mymensingh recently. The training was conducted by Chongqing Zhong Yi Seed Co. Ltd under the umbrella of hybrid rice collaboration project between China and Bangladesh.
BAU Convener of Dean Council Prof Dr Abdur Rashid was present as Chief Guest, third secretary of the embassy of Peoples republic of China in BD Li Guangjun and MD of National AgriCare Group KSM Mustafizur Rahman were present as special guests at the closing and Certificate giving ceremony program.
On the closing program, speakers stressed the importance of this kind of training to strengthen cooperation between China and Bangladesh.
Mr Li Guangjun emphasizes on Sino-Bangladesh friendship and enhances capacity building and technical cooperation with various stack holders of agriculture sector between two countries.
The training course was coordinated by Dr. Md. Sultan Mahmud, country Director of Chongqing Zhong Yi Seed Co. Ltd and Prof Dr Kazi Kamrul Islam, Head of the department of Agroforestry of BAU and Prof. Yang Xunyi, Vice- Chairman, Chongqing Zhong Yi Seed Co. Ltd. – BAU Correspondent
