Rajshahi, July 23 – With a view to enhancing the beauty of the university campus as well as to maintain the ecological balance of Rajshahi University (RU) a tree plantation program held on the campus on Monday.
The National Fisheries Week has also been celebrated on the campus.
RU vice-chancellor Prof Dr M Abdus Sobhan inaugurated the minnow releasing program at 10 am on the day by releasing minnow on the pond of agriculture faculty as chief gust in front of agricultural faculty.
The program was organized by fisheries dept with the help of university authority.
Following the program, he opened “tree plantation and beauty increase” at Habibur Rahman hall playground while pro-vice-chancellor Prof Dr Ananda Kumar Saha was present as special guest and hall provost of different dormitories were present here.
