Tuku talks tough against ‘troublemakers’

State Minister for Home Samsul Haque Tuku on Wednesday said stern actions will be taken against those carrying out violent activities and anarchy in the name of hartal and blockade across the country. “They’ll have to take the responsibility for the loss of lives and damage to public property. They’ll be made accountable to people for their activities,” he said while talking to reporters at his office.   The junior minister said the law enforcement agencies have been instructed to perform their duties with utmost sincerity for maintaining law and order across the country.   Replying to a question, he said it takes time in taking action against the troublemakers as they are political criminals, not the traditional criminals. “Today or tomorrow they’ll be brought to book”, he added.   Tuku also alleged that BNP is unleashing anarchy in the country to save the war criminals. – UNB
