Two outlawed party activists held in Chuadanga

Detectives arrested two activists of outlawed Biplobi Communist Party (BCP) along with one shutter gun, four live bombs and one round of bullet from Takpara area on the Gholdari-Madhupur road in Alamdanga upazila early Sunday.The arrestees were identified as Shamsul and Dalim Biswas, both of whom used to belong to outlawed BCP.Inspector Yunus Biswas of Chuadanga Detective Branch (DB) of police said on secret information,they conducted a drive in the area and arrested the two while a group of the party members, including them, were allegedly holding a secret meeting there at about 12:45am.The other members of the outlawed party managed to flee the spot, the inspector added.The law enforcers also recovered one shutter gun, four live bombs and one round of bullet from the spot.
The arrestees were wanted in several cases, including for murder, abduction and extortion, the inspector said. -UNB, Chuadanga
