Internal Resources Division secretary and National Board of Revenue chairman Golam Hossain, and Agriculture secretary SM Nazmul Islam have been appointed on a year’s contract.
A circular was issued on this on Tuesday, said Abdus Sobhan Sikder, senior Secretary at the Ministry of Public Administration.Nazmul Islam’s Pre-Retirement Leave had begun on Dec 30 after his tenure ended while Golam Hossain’s Pre-Retirement Leave was to begin on Wednesday.
BCS 1982 Batch official Golam Hossain took charge of the Internal Resources Division as secretary and the National Board of Revenue as chairman on Oct 29, 2012.
He had earlier also held charge of the Ministry of Commerce as secretary. Nazmul Islam had also joined the civil service in 1982.
Before joining the agriculture ministry as secretary in May, 2013, he had served as the chairman of the Bangladesh Agriculture Development Corporation.-bdnews24.com
