Two Shibir men’s bullet-hit bodies found in Jhenaidah

Benapole – Police recovered bullet-riddled bodies of two Islami Chhatra Shibir activists, who had been picked up by a group of people impersonating detectives from Kaliganj upazila of Jhenidah
district last month, from Bohorampur cremation ground in sadar upazila on Wednesday morning, unb news agency reported.The deceased were identified as Abujar Gifari, son of Nur Islam, a resident of Chapali in Kaliganj municipality, and Shamim Mahmud, son of Ruhul Amin of Bakulia village of the municipality.
Locals spotted the bodies with bullet injuries lying on the bank of a pond at the cremation ground and informed police around 7:30am, said Officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station Ilias Hossain.
A group of masked people posing as members of the Detective Branch (DB) of police abducted Shamim and Gifari on March 25 and 18 respectively form Kotchandpur Bazar in Kaliganj, claimed their families.
Following their disappearance, family members of both the victims filed separate general diaries with the respective police stations and demanded their early rescue at a press conference.
