Dhaka – Two siblings went missing as a trawler they were riding, being hit by another trawler, capsized in the Meghna River at Moulvir Hat in Hizla upazila of Barisal district on Thursday night.The two missing brothers were identified as Sumaiya, 12, and Rajin, 13.
Local people said a trawler carrying nine members of a family capsized in the river after being hit by another trawler. The victims were getting onboard a Dhaka-bound launch, ‘MV Awlad-4’, from the trawler at around 9pm.
All but the two siblings managed to swim ashore, they said.
