Undo result, hold fresh polls under neutral govt: Left Front

Dhaka, Jan 03 – The Left Democratic Front on Thursday demanded holding of a fresh national election under a neutral government.“Cancel results of this robbed election,” CPB leader Ruhin Hossain Prince said at a human chain protest at Jatiya Press Club in Dhaka.
“Hold a free, fair and participatory election under a neutral government,” he said, reading out a prepared statement. Ruhin said that there had been many victims of post-election violence.
“There is no atmosphere for holding a free and fair election under the incumbent government. This farcical election has proven it. Many people did not get the chance to exercise their voting rights,” he said.
The ruling Awami League-led coalition won 96 percent seats in the December 30 polls. As the next course of action, he said a daylong public hearing would be held at JPC on January 11. – News Desk
