US Ambassador for war crimes issues due Today

Ambassador at-Large for War Crimes Issues Stephen J Rapp of the Office of Global Criminal Justice arrives here on Tuesday on a two-day visit.

During his visit, Ambassador Rapp will meet government officials and civil society members and discuss the rule of law issues.

Prior to his current assignment, Ambassador Rapp served as Prosecutor of the Special Court for Sierra Leone beginning in January 2007, responsible for leading the prosecutions of former Liberian President Charles Taylor and other persons alleged to bear the greatest responsibility for the atrocities committed during the civil war in Sierra Leone.
