A media delegation from Oklahoma, USA has embarked on a Bangladesh tour as part of an exchange programme supported by the US Department of State.
To mark the visit, a function was held at BRAC Centre on Wednesday where the US participants and Bangladeshi media alumni who had been to Oklahoma on previous programmes were present.The programme in Bangladesh has been organised jointly by BRAC University’s Centre for Entrepreneurship Development and University of Oklahoma’s Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication.
BRAC University Vice Chancellor Ainun Nishat and Gaylord College Dean Joe Foote spoke at the function.
Foote lauded the alumni and Bangladeshi media professionals for their commitment to professionalism and development of the media.
Gaylord College Assistant Professor Elanie Steyn and BRAC University’s School of Business Professor Rezaur Razzak also spoke on the occasion.
