Wage united movement to establish Islam: Char Monai Pir

The Pir Saheb of Char Monai Mufti Syed Rezaul Karim on Friday called for united movement to establish the tenets of Islam by being imbued with its ideals and principles.
Addressing the central conference of the Islami Chhatra Andolan, the Ameer of Bangladesh Islami Andolan said in a country of 90 percent Muslims it was natural for Islam to be established in all spheres of state activities.The Pir Shaheb Saheb said the people of Bangladesh love Islam from the core of their hearts but due to lack of foresight of the Ulema and absence of efficient leadership of those who are in the affairs of the state this was getting obstructed again and again.
Presided over by Muhammad Ariful Islam, central president of the Islami Chhatra Andolan, the function was also addressed by Islami Andolan presidium memAtaur Rhber Principal Mosaddeq Billah Al-Madani, secretary general Principal Hafez Moulana Yunus Ahmed, political advisers to the ameer Prof Ashraf Alo Akon and Gazi Ataur Rahman, former VC of Patuakhali Science and Technology University, Abdul Latif Masum, editor of Greenwatch Dhaka Mostafa Kamal Majumder, Dr. Abdus Sabur Khan of Dhaka University, Syed Abdal Ahmed, general secretary of National Press Club, Assistant Editor of Daily Inquilab Moulana Ubaidur Rahman Khan Nadvi among others.
The Pir Saheb of Char Monai recalled the important roles played by students and youths in all movements around the globe including the Language movement of 1952, the mass movement of 1969 and the War of Liberation of 1971 and that they would have to lead another movement to face the atheists and oppressors.
The speakers at the function said that the country was passing through a critical juncture with all aspects of life being affected by anarchy and indiscipline. The January 5 election was a sham in which 153 MPs were elected unopposed. The student and youth fronts of the ruling parties were spearheading anarchy and making life of common people misetable, they said adding that only an ideology-based movement can steer the country clear of the present situatin.
The Amir of Islami Andolan administered oaths to ICA president  Muhammad Ariful Islam, vice president Abdur Rahman Gilman, and secretary general Nurul Islam.
