Dhaka-A Dhaka court on Monday issued arrest warrant against former Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) Mayor Sadeque Hossain Khoka and eight other high officials in a graft case.Other accused persons are- Saifuddin Ahmed, former Chief Executive Officer (presently joint secretary of ERD); Alamgir Hossain Khan, former Secretary; Mehedi Ali Khan, former Chief Engineer; Nurunnabi, former Chief Accounts Officer; Sakhawat Ullah, former Chief Revenue Officer; Asaduzzaman, former Assistant Secretary and tax officers Saifullah and Mujibur Rahman.
On June 29, 2010, the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the case with Shahbagh Police Station against Khoka and eight other high officials of the combined DCC on charges of irregularities in recruiting six tax officers.-Special Correspondent
