Witness deposition in case against 89 Bnp leaders Thursday

A Dhaka court on Thursday fixed April 2 to record the depositions of the witnesses in the case lodged with Savar Police Station against 89 BNP leaders and activists including Joint-Secretary General Amanullah Aman and former JCD President Sultan Salahuddin Tuku in two cases filed vandalism.Acting Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Afroza Shiuli passed the order on Thursday noon. Earlier, on February 18, the court issued arrest warrant against 23 including Aman and Tuku as they did not appear before the court.
On December 9, 2012, police filed two cases against the BNP leaders and activists on the charges of vandalism and creating obstacles on vehicular movement on Dhaka-Aricha highway near Amin Bazar during the blockade sponsored by BNP-led alliance. – Court Correspondent
