A young BNP supporter with graffiti on his chest and back “Down with autocracy, let democracy be free” was taken away by police from in front of BNP chairperson’s Gulshan office yesterday.
The young man hailed from Gazipur and identified himself as Delwar Hossain Noor also carried a self composed poem, which he wanted to present to BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, who is staying at her Gulshan office since January 3.Before he was arrested at about 2:30pm, Delwar Hossain Noor called upon the prime minister to sit in a meaningful dialogue with Khaleda Zia to resolve the political stalemate.
Earlier, he was arrested by police on January 5 from in front of BNP central office while he was demanding resignation of the government by inscribing the same slogans on his chest and back.
He told reporters that he was released from jail only last week on February 18. – Staff Reporter
