A court here on Sunday sentenced a young man to life term imprisonment for murdering a boy in 2011.The convict was identified as Oliullah,20.The court also fined him Tk20,000 in default, to suffer one year more in jail. According to the prosecution, Oliullah stabbed Moinuddin,16, to death at Kalcho village in Hajiganj upazila of the district on May 27, 2011 following a conflict over a love affair.
The victim’s father filed a case against Oliullah and her sister Rubina on the same day. After examining records and witnesses, District and Sessions Judge
Mohammad Shafiqul Karim handed down the verdict to Oliullah and acquitted Rubina. – UNB,Chandpur
