Youth held with Indian currency in Sunagmanj

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested a young man along with 32,055 Indian rupees from Bagli border in Tahirpur upazila on Friday.
The arrestee identified as Ismail Hossain, 22, son of Abdul Latif, hails from Dakatia village in Bhaluka upazila of Mymensingh district.
Subedar Jamil Raushan, company commander of Birendranagar BGB camp in the upazila, said a team of BGB detained Ismail from near 63/S of pillar no 1193 on the border at about 1.00pm along with the Indian currency when he entered the Bangladesh territory.
The border guards also seized a laptop and some gold ornaments worth Tk 1.11 lakh from his possession.
Later, BGB handed over the arrestee to Tahirpur thana police. -UNB, Sunagmanj
