A youth named Jewell (18) lost his one of the fingers of his hands
when a clash took place among some young unruly youths at the local
launch ghat area in the district town on Thursday at noon.
He is the son of one Mosharaf Shaikh of Harikhali village under
Bagerhat Porashava.
It is learnt from Ershadul Kabir, Officer-in-charge of Bagerhat Model
police station that on the day a quarrel took place among some unruly
youths at the local launch terminal over the smoking of ganja and at
one stage Jewell was beaten by seven to eight of them and at that time
he lost one of his fingers.
He was immediately admitted to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital for his treatment.
In this connection a case was lodged with the local police station.
