The Speedy Trial Tribunal-4 of Dhaka on Sunday recorded the depositions of two more witnesses in the case filed in connection with the murder of Biswajit Das.Jude-in-Charge of the tribunal Dewan Md Shafiullah Sunday recorded the depositions of Md Khaleque, employee of a local petrol pump and Sumon Khan, local tailoring shop owner. The judge fixed July 25 as the next date for hearing.
On July 14 the same judge recorded the depositions of the complainant of the case and Sutrapur Police Station
Sub-inspector Jalal Uddin.
Some activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) allegedly stabbed Bishwajit, 24, proprietor of Amantron Tailors in Shankharibazar area of Sutrapur, to death during a road blockade programme enforced by the BNP-led 18-party alliance on December 9 last year.
Twenty-one BCL activists of Jagannath University were indicted on June 2 for the murder.
On June 30, the case was sent to the Speedy Trial
Tribunal-4 from the Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court as per a decision of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
On March 55, the Detective Branch (DB) of Police submitted the charge sheet to the court against the
