Sylhet, Feb 26 – A young man reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a pipe at the toilet in a hotel room at Zindabazar in the city on Sunday night.The deceased was identified as Sazzadur Rahman, 30, son of late Abdul Ali, hailing from Jangail village in Jalalabad Police Station.
Sazzad committed suicide by hanging himself from the pipe in his rented hotel room between 11am and 9pm, said Khokon Sarker, sub-inspector of Kotwali Police Station.
He booked the hotel room around 11am and was found hanging from the pipe after the door of the room was broken.
Later, police recovered the hanging body around 9pm. The body was sent to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital. – UNB
