Zia Orphanage case appeal hearing deferred to July 8

Dhaka, July 3 – The High Court Division of the Supreme Court on Tuesday (July 3) deferred the appeal hearing to July 8 in the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case filed against BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. The High Court bench, comprising Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman, fixed the new date.
Lawyer AJ Mohammad Ali, Khandakar Mahbub Hossain, Barrister Moudud Ahmed moved for Khaleda Zia while lawyer Khurshid Alam Khan stood for Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) during the hearing.
Earlier on July 1, the High Court fixed July 3 for hearing on the appeal petition filed by Khaleda Zia in the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case. – Special Correspondent
