Police in a drive arrested 14 activists of BNP and Bangladesh
Jamaat-e-Islami from Chandidasgati village in sadar upazila of the
district on Wednesday.
The arrestees were identified as Suman, Salam, Lokman Ali, Felu,
Rafiqul, Shoishab Sarker, Abu Bakar Siddique, Salam, Babu, Lavlu,
Raihan, Sabuj, Ruhul Amin and Rabbi.
All of them are residents of the village.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mukter Hossanin of Sirajganj
said police raiding different houses at the village in the afternoon
as part of a regular drive arrested the aforesaid BNP-Jamaat men on
various charges.
