Members of the detective branch (DB) on Sunday conducted a drive at Central Bus
terminal of the town and recovered 1,780 bottles of contraband phensidyl syrup.
Police said, acting on secret information, a team of the DB led by Sub-inspector Abul
Khair raided a Keshabpur bound bus from Jessore and recovered the illicit drug at
2:30pm.
The drug peddlers, however, managed to escape the scene. A case was filed with Jessore
Kotwali Model police station in this connection. -BSS, Jessore
