37 BCS exam results likely before Eid

Dhaka, June 6 – The final results of 37th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) recruitment examinations is likely to be published before Eid-ul-Fitr, Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) sources said. “We’ll publish the final results of 37th BCS test before Eid-ul-Fitr. We have completed all necessary preparations to publish the results,” BPSC chairman Muhammed Sadique to journalists on Wednesday.
BPSC published a circular of the 37th BCS on 29 January 2016 to fill up the 1226 posts as per the demand of public administration ministry.
Later on 30 September 2016, a total of 2,43,476 candidates participated in the preliminary examinations and 8,523 candidates pass the test.
Later the written test of the BCS exam started on 11 February 2017 and continued till 23 May and a total of 5,379 jobseekers came out successful.
These candidates took part in the Viva-Voce examinations. Now the final results will be published.
Meanwhile, BPSC has given the date of the written test of the candidates of 38th BCS. The written test of the 38th BCS will begin on August and continue till August 13 for the compulsory papers and the tests for optional subjects in the first week of September.
On the other hand, the 39th (Special) BCS will recruit the candidates for the posts of 4,542 doctors and 250 dental surgeons.
BPSC sources also said they would also start the process for 40th BCS at the end of September or beginning of October. They have already got the demand from the public administration ministry to recruit BCS cadres for the posts of about 2000 posts.
“We hope the 40th BCS would begin at the end of September or in the beginning of October. The public administration ministry has given us a demand for the recruitment of 2000 posts,” Muhammed Sadique said. – Staff Reporter
