Police arrested six leaders and activists of BNP for ‘sabotage plan’ from different places of the district on Tuesday night.The arrestees were identified as Ujir Ali,50, Shahiduzzaman,48, Obaidur Rahman,45, Motaleb Shikder, 40, Hafizur Rahman,35 and Abdul Jalil,40.Magura assistant superintendent of police Sudarshan Kumar Ray said six leaders and activists of BNP were arrested for planning subversive activities on the 79th day of the countrywide indefinite transport blockade, enforced by the BNP-led 20-party alliance.BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia called the indefinite blockade from January 6 as the government did not allow her party and its allies to hold protest rallies in the capital on January 5. -UNB, Magura
