Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested an alleged drug peddler in possession of 40 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup from Begunbari in Gomostapur upazila on Tuesday.
The arrestee was identified as Saddam,22, son of Abdul Malek, a resident of Nungola village of the same upazila.BGB-43 Battalion commanding officer Lieutenant Colonel Jahid Hasan said on secret information, a team of the border force conducted a drive in the area and arrested Saddam along with 40 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup at about 1:00 pm.A case was filed in this connection. -UNB, Chapainawabganj
