Abducted college boy rescued in Jessore, 3 held

A college student, who had been abducted from Narail bus stand area of the district town on Friday, was rescued from the same place on Sunday night.The rescued was identified as Nasim Islam, son of Mofizur Rahman, a resident of Perol village of Narail district and a student of Jessore BCMC College.Shikder Akkas Ali, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Model Police Station, said Nasim was abducted on Friday from bus stand area as he went there for going home.Later the abductors demanded Tk5 lakh as ransom from his father.Nasim’s father Mofizur Rahman filed a general diary with the police station on Saturday.Police got information that Golam Rasul, son of Liakot Ali, a resident of Barandipara area of town, had involvement in this incident.Following the information, police arrested Liakot on Saturday.As there was no way, Golam Rasul and his associates freed Nasim in the bus stand area around 8:30pm.
Police rescued him from the area,Police also arrested locals Saiful Islam and Faisal Islam.A case was filed in this connection. -UNB, Benapole
