AL’s intra-party clash injures 10 in Magura

At least 10 people were injured in a clash between two rival groups of
Awami League at Bhabonhati village in Sadar upazila on Saturday.
Police said there had been a conflict between former union parishad
chairman Abdul Hye and Golam Sarwar over establishing supremacy in the
area for long.
As a sequel to it, an altercation ensued between the supports of both
the groups at Bhabonhati Bazar on Friday.
A chase and counter-chase took place between them on Saturday morning,
triggering a clash that left 10 people injured on both sides.
The injured were rushed to Sadar hospital.
Informed, police rushed in and brought the situation under control.
None was arrested in this connection.
A tense situation was prevailing in the area following the incident.
