Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated a five-day meeting of Army Headquarters Selection Board-2013 with a view to giving promotion to the army personnel.The inauguration programme was held at Army Headquarters Officers’ Mess (New) at Dhaka Cantonment on Sunday.
Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) of Bangladesh Army made the disclosure in a press release.
The news release said, in her inaugural speech, the premier advised the selection board to consider professional skills, belief in spirit of liberation war, leadership qualities, discipline, honesty and loyalty for the promotion.
The board will take decision fro giving promotion to Brigadier General from Colonel and Colonel from Lieutenant Colonel.
Major General Tarique Ahmed Siddique, RCDS, PSC (retd), defense affairs adviser to the premier, and Army Chief General Iqbal Karim Bhuiyan welcomed Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The inaugural programme was attended, among others, Principal Press Secretary to Prime Minister Sheikh M Wahid-uz-Zaman, Defense Affairs Secretary Khandaker M Assaduzzaman and PM’s Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad.
After the inaugural function, Sheikh Hasina took part a photo-session with the high officials the inaugural function.
