Dhaka – Australian High Commissioner in Dhaka Greg Wilcock met BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Tuesday night. The hour-long meeting that began around 8pm was held at the BNP chairperson’s Gulshan political office.However, neither BNP nor the Australian envoy briefed waiting reporters outside the office about the meeting. Party sources said the BNP chief discussed with the Australian High Commissioner about the country’s latest political situation, the January-5 parliamentary elections and various issues relating to the bilateral interest of the two countries.
BNP vice-chairman Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury and BNP chairperson’s advisers Reaz Rahman and Dr Osman Farruk were present at the meeting.- UNB
