BNP standing committee member Barrister Rafiqul Islam Miah has said that former home minister Nasim’s statement aaginst Tarrique Rahman was false, fabricated and baseless.He came up with the allegation in a press conference held at party’s chairperson Gulshan office on Friday afternoon.
Barrister Rafiqul said, “Government spreads out such false information as they feel jealous on Tarrique’s popularity. Anti-government movement will be stronger after his return. Fearing this, government is spreading propaganda aagainst him.”
He also urged to stop such propaganda against Tarrique as he is in abroad due to illness.
Some senior leaders along with standing committee member Goyeswar Chandra Roy were present at that time.
