A Dhaka court on Thursday fixed June 16 to hear on charge framing against BNP-led 18-party leaders including BNP Acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in the case filed in connection with cocktail explosion in side Bangladesh secretariat.
Earlier, Thursday was fixed for charge hearing. However, retired Brigadier General Hannan Shah and some others sought adjournment of the hearing and deferment of charge hearing.However, Mirza Fakhrul, Gayesshar Chandra Roy, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Amanullah Aman and Sadeque Hossain Khoka were present in the courtroom.
On May 31 in 2012, Detective Branch (DB) Inspector Tapan Chandra Saha submitted the charge sheet of the case to the court against the 18-party leaders.
The charge sheet was submitted against 29 leaders of the alliance. The case was filed with Shahbagh Police Station of the capital in connection with cocktail explosion in side and out side Bangladesh Secretariat on April 29 in 2012. On the day the alliance called a shutdown. – Staff Reporter
