Case filed for abduction of BCL leader in Rajshahi

A case was filed on Sunday in connection with the abduction of a Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader of Rajshahi Engineering and Technology University (RUET).
According to the case statement, a group of unidentified people, numbering 8-10, posed themselves as members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and picked up Saifuzzaman Sohag, information and research secretary of Ruet unit of BCL, in a white microbus from his house in Terokhada area of the city on December 9.
They also took Sohag’s laptop, camera and some ornaments from the house.
Akkaszzaman, father of the abducted, filed the case with Rajpara Police Station on Sunday night.Jesmin Taslima Nabila, a classmate of the abducted, along with unidentified members of Rapid Action Battelion (Rab) and the Detective Branch (DB) of police were accused in connection with the incident, said officer-in-charge of Rajpara Police Station Mahmudur Rahman. -UNB, Rajshahi
