Dhaka denounces Egypt terror attacks

Dhaka – Bangladesh has expressed profound shock and deep sorrow at the loss of human lives at the series of cowardly attacks by the terrorists on security checkpoints, civilian installations, religious sites and historical relics in Egypt. UNB news agency reported
“We strongly condemn such heinous and mindless acts of violence and pray for the salvation of the departed souls. I take this opportunity to convey our sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the members of the bereaved families,” Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali said in a message sent to his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry.
Mahmood Ali reiterated that the cruel perpetration of violence on the Coptic Catholic Church at the advent of the Holy Christmas and killing of innocent people for their faith proves once again that the terrorists have no religion and ideology.
“We firmly believe that the government and the people of Egypt will bear with courage and strength at this hour of national ordeal and will be able to deal with this menace,” he said.
