Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Friday imposed restriction on carrying of all types of explosives, crackers as well as explosion of firecrackers in the city ahead of Shab-e-Barat to be observed on Sunday next. Dhaka, UNB News Agency Reported.
DMP Commissioner Md Asaduzzaman Mia enforced the ban under Section 28 of the DMP Ordinance III/1976, aiming to maintain the sanctity of Shab-e-Barat, said a media release signed by the Commissioner on Friday afternoon.
The restriction will come into force from 6:00 pm on Sunday and remain until further order, it added.
