Elderly man killed over land dispute in Bogra

An elderly man was stabbed to death allegedly by some miscreants at
Patanjo village of Kahalu upazila in Bogra district at about 8 am on
Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Ruhul Ameen, 45, son of Abul
Hossain of the village. Police, quoting Ruhul’s younger brother
Mosabbor Hasan Musa, said there had been a longstanding dispute with
the miscreants of the village over a piece of ancestral land and pond.
Victim’s younger brother Mossaber Hsan Musa, a Dupchanchia upazila
correspondent of The Daily Iffefaq, said, “My elder brother Ruhul
Ameen was very polite but he had to sacrifice his soul only for the
land dispute as he was alone while the miscreants attacked him .”
“They wanted to kill my brother again and again.” he added. An
altercation took place among them over the issue on Thursday morning.
At one stage, the miscreants attack on Ruhul Ameen mercilessly,
leaving him dead on the spot. On information, police rushed in and
sent the body to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical Collage and
Hospital morgue for autopsy. A murder case was lodged with Kahalu
police station in this regard accusing 12 men on the day.
Officer-in-charge of the local police station said we are trying heart
to arrest the killer of Ruhul Ameen.
