Dhaka, Apr 11 – Veteran journalist Hussain-uz-Zaman, former Managing Director and Chief Editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sanstha (BSS), passed away at city’s Anwar Khan Modern Hospital early Tuesday due to respiratory and cardiovascular complications. He was 83.His namaz-e-janaza will be held at the Jatiya Press Club at 11.30am.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deep shock at the death of Hussain-Uz-Zaman and recalled his contributions to journalism.
Sheikh Hasina also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Jatiya Press Club president Muhammad Shafiqur Rahman and its general secretary Farida Yasmin also expressed shock at his death. – UNB
