A young boy was jailed for one year after he was detected to be taking the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations impersonating a candidate at the Mahsin Girls’ School centre in Daulatpur upazila of the district on Friday.The convict was Mehedi Hasan, 17, a resident of the upazila.Mehedi was acting as a proxy for Mohammad Tanim, an examinee from Afiluddin High School.An invigilator at the examination centre caught Mehedi and handed him over to the magistrate on duty at the examination centre.Later, a mobile court led by upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) and executive magistrate Abdullah Al Mamun sentenced him to one year’s imprisonment. -UNB, Khulna
