Dhaka – Police recovered the hanging body of a young man in Machhimpur area in Tongi area of the city on Monday morning.The deceased was identified as Bayezid Talukder, 28, a hawker in the area.Abul Khayer, sub-inspector of Tongi Police Station, said Bayezid went into hiding after borrowing TK 24,000 from fellow hawker Faruk two months ago.On Sunday night, Faruk found Bayezid in Chandona Chowrasta and took him to his house,UNB News Agency Reported.He reportedly locked Bayezid in a room and tortured him.Locals spotted his hanging body in the house in the morning and informed police. The legs of the body were tied up in shackles.Police recovered the body and sent it to Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmmed Medical College Hospital for autopsy.However, police said that it was not clear whether Bayezid committed suicide or was killed by Faruk.Faruk went into hiding after the incident.Police have detained a hawker named Rezaul for interrogation.
