Dhaka – Fisheries department seized a huge quantity of banned current net from Baba Bhander Fishing Net factory under Sadar upazila in Munshiganj this afternoon.Being informed, a mobile team of the department led by executive magistrate M Sayed Iqbal conducted a drive at the factory and seized two lakh miters current net, an official of the team said.The team also arrested the factory manager M Nadim in this connection and fined him Taka 5,000.Later, the net was destroyed at the bank of Dhaleswari river.BSS
