Finance Minister AMA Muhith on Sunday categorically said new pay commission would be formed during the tenure of the incumbent government.The finance minister came up with the disclosure while talking to journalists after a meeting of Cabinet Purchase Committee at secretariat.
He told the journalists: “The earlier government formed a pay commission and I will also form a new pay commission.”
The ruling Awami League also said, “But the government dies not have any plan to announce dearness allowance in the upcoming budget.”
Muhith also observed that the salary and allowance of the government officials should be equivalent to private officials.
He added: “If a private company officer gets Tk 100 salary, a government officer will get Tk 70. We will do this to decrease corruption in public sectors and inspire government job.”
