Indian nationals pick up 5 Bangladeshis in Chuadanga

Five Bangladeshis were picked up by some Indians nationals at Gayeshpur frontier in Jibannagar upazila early Thursday. The victims are Robzel Mondol, Shukur Ali, Zia, Faraj, and Mohamad Ali, hail from Gayeshpur village in the upazila.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) company commander Awal Hossain said a case was filed against the five people following a clash between two groups of villagers on Wednesday. When police went to the village to arrest the accused the five people took shelter in a field in the Indian side to avoid arrest.
Later, some Indian nationals numbering 10/15 from Banpur village intruded into Bangladesh territory and picked them up from the village.   Lt. col. Gazi Asaduzzaman, commander of Chuadanga-6 BGB, confirming the incident said Indian Border Security Force informed that the Bangladeshi nationals were handed over to the Indian police. – UNB
