Khaleda also greets Hasina on occasion of Eid

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, now in London, on Thursday sent an eid greeting card to her arch rival Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

Sheikh Hasina also sent Khaleda a similar card on Wednesday on the occasion.

On behalf of Khaleda, three BNP assistant office secretaries, led by Taiful Islam Tipu, handed over the card to ex-Awami League assistant office secretary Sikandar Ali at the party president’s Dhanmondi office around 12 noon.

Talking to UNB, Tipu said their chairperson wished the Awami President a happy Eid-ul-Azha. “We’ve handed over an eid greeting card to her Dhanmondi office on behalf of our leader.”

On Wednesday, a four-member Awami League delegation, led by Sikandar Ali, handed over an eid card to BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi around 12:30 pm at the party’s Nayapaltan central office

The holy Eid-ul-Azha, the 2nd largest religious festival of the Muslims, will be celebrated across the country on Saturday.

Khaleda Zia who went to London on July 15 for medical treatment is likely to return home after celebrating the Eid there with her family members.
