Madrasa student, man stabbed dead in Sirajganj

Two people, including a madrasa student, were stabbed to death in separate incidents in Sadar and Kazipur upazilas on Sunday night.
The deceased were identified as Mohiruddin, 30, a tea seller and son of Haran Sheikh of the Railway Colony area in the town, and Shaki, 14, student of Kazipur Madrasa and son of Abdul Wahab of Panchgachhi village in Kazipur upazila.
Habibul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sadar police station, said Mohiruddin was stabbed indiscriminately by his friends Golam, 22, and Ujjal, 25, over previous enmity in front of his tea stall in the colony at about 10:30pm on Sunday, leaving him dead on the spot.
Later, police arrested both Golam and Ujjal.
Abdul Jalil, officer-in-charge of Kazipur police station, said locals spotted the body of Saki in a paddy field near his home in the village on Monday morning and informed police.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Police suspected that Shaki had been stabbed to death by unknown miscreants some time after Sunday midnight.
Separate cases were filed in connection with both the incidents. -UNB, Sirajganj
