Dhaka – Two people were killed and 40 others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck at Bhatbaur on Dhaka-Aricha highway in Sadar upazila in Manikganj on Tuesday night.One of the deceased was identified as Mufti Saifullah, 38,UNB news agency reported.The accident took place when a Patuakhali-bound bus of ‘Islam Paribahan’ collided head-on with a brick-laden truck around 10pm,leaving a passenger of the bus dead on the spot and 41 others injured, said Aminur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Manikganj Sadar Police Station.On information, police and fire fighters rushed to the spot and sent the injured to hospital while Saifullah succumbed to his injuries on the way.
