Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered 400 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup, 30 bottles of liquor, 2,000 pieces of Anagra tablet and 64 kilograms of steel from Bashdah area in Sadar upazila on Sunday morning.
Satkhira BGB-38 Taluigachha camp commander Abdur Rab said on secret information, a team of the border force conducted a drive in the area at about 11:00 am.Sensing presence of the BGB men, the smugglers fled the scene leaving behind the contraband items.Later, the border force recovered the Phensidyl syrup, Anagra tablets, liquor and steel worth Tk5.5 lakh from the spot. -UNB, Satkhira
